Step 1
In a small bowl combine the eggs, cream, spice blend, and sugar-substitute. Beat for about 30 seconds with a whisk then pour the mixture into a shallow baking-dish. Then place the bread slices into the dish, laying flat, to soak up the mixture. Flip the bread slices to soak the other side of the bread.
Step 2
Place a couple of pats of butter into a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the bread slices into the butter and toast the soaked bread, rotating the slices to get a consistent toast. Then flip the slices and toast on the flip-side until they are toasted to your liking.
Step 3
Then remove the slices, two to a plate and top with the 5-Spice Butter. See the recipe Notes for a link to the recipe.
Step 4
Once the egg yolk is cooked to your liking, place the egg atop the sandwich on a plate. Garnish with herbs and berries and serve. It's great with some iced-tea at lunch. Or maybe a cappuccino at breakfast. Enjoy.

Notes
Our recommendation for low-carb bread is any one of the breads available from The Great Low Carb Bread Company. Check our our approved products pages. Each slice has only 1 net carb. Or use the thin-sliced bread for only 0.5 net carb per slice. The 5-spice butter is merely a mixture of whipping cream, butter, sugar-substitute and Chinese 6-spice. Here's the simple recipe.
